The School of Education is one of the schools of studies in the university. Its functions are to undertake academic activities pertaining to:
The various aspects of the practice of education as a profession.
The various branches of education as an academic discipline.
Objective of the School of Education :
The SOE attempts to create and sustain a learning society by promoting research and practice in all aspects of learning and teaching that supports enhanced participation in learning for life. To achieve these ends it works in collaboration with experts and teachers at the study centers to develop the varied types of capabilities of learners in general and of teacher educators and/or special educators in particular.
Faculty
Well-qualified Faculty has been appointed for the SoE at the headquarters. It consists of one Director,One Deputy Director/Associate Professor, One Assistant Director/Assistant professor,two Assistant professor and three Lecturers. The areas of specializations of the faculty are: Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Special Education, Examination Reforms,Research Methodology,Statistial Analysis, Measurement and Evaluation, Open and Distance Education and Educational Administration and management. The core faculty at the headquarters coordinates in the planning and execution of various academic activities and conducts a regular monitoring of the curriculum transaction process at the study centers.

The aim of the B.Ed. Programme is to provide opportunities for professional development of in service untrained graduate teachers of Uttar Pradesh. Eligibility
इस कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश हेतु पात्रता निम्न है-
1 बी.एड. कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश के लिये विज्ञान/सामाज विज्ञान/मानविकी की स्नातक अथवा परा स्नातक उपाधि में कम से कम 50 प्रतिशत अंक पाने वाले अभ्यर्थी पात्र होगे। इसके अतिरिक्त इंजीनियरिंग या तकनीकी जिसमें विज्ञान एवं गणित की विशेषज्ञता हो, स्नातक अथवा परास्नातक में कम से कम 55 प्रतिशत अंक प्राप्त करने वाले अभ्यर्थी अथवा इनके समतुल्य कोई अन्य अर्हता वाले अभ्यार्थी प्रवेश के लिये पात्र होगे।
एवं
2 उत्तर प्रदेश में स्थित किसी प्रारम्भिक विद्यालय में कार्यरत प्रशिक्षित शिक्षक।
अथवा
परम्परागत प्रणाली (face to face mode) से राष्ट्रीय अध्यापक शिक्षा परिषद् (NCTE) द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त किसी अध्यापक शिक्षा कार्यक्रम को पूर्ण करने वाले अभ्यर्थी।
एवं
3 बी0एड0 कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश हेतु वही अभ्यर्थी अर्ह होंगे जो या तो किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से अग्रांकित दो विषयों के साथ स्नातक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण किये हो अथवा अग्रांकित विषयों में से एक विषय स्नातक पर तथा एक विषय इण्टर स्तर पर लिये हों- हिन्दी, अंग्रेजी, भौतिकशास्त्र, रसायनशास्त्र, जन्तुविज्ञान, वनस्पति विज्ञान, गणित, गृहविज्ञान, इतिहास, भूगोल, राजनीतिशास्त्र, मनोविज्ञान, समाजशास्त्र, अर्थशास्त्र तथा वाणिज्य।
नोट- 1. अर्हता दिनांक 01.07.2017 को पूर्ण होनी चाहिए एवं इस हेतु अंकपत्र/प्रमाणपत्र एवं अन्य वांछित प्रमाण पत्र निर्धारित प्रारूप पर प्रस्तुत करना होगा।

The main aim of the B.Ed. (S.E.) Programme is to develop training abilities of special educator. This programme provides opportunities for professional development of special educators working in the field of disabilities and rehabilitation. At present three areas of specialization i.e. MR, VI and HI are available in B.Ed. (SE). The main aim of B.Ed. (SE) programme is to develop the capacity of understanding the Nature of Students, learning Process, Evaluation techniques, School Management and different activities related to students support services.

Eligibility
इस कार्यक्रम में प्रवेश हेतु पात्रता निम्न है-
1. बी.एड. (a) विकलांग बच्चे के माता-पिता हों। या,
(b) स्वयं विकलांग हो। या,
(c) RCI द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त कोर्स किया हो।
अधिभार के अर्ह अभ्यार्थियों के लिए आवश्यक है कि वे (a) अधिकृत अधिकारी अर्थात उत्तर प्रदेश के किसी जिले के जिला मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी द्वारा निर्गत किया हुआ बच्चे का 40% या उससे अधिक विकलांगता का प्रमाण -पत्र (b) अधिकृत अधिकारी अर्थात उ.प्र. के किसी जिले के जिला मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी द्वारा निर्गत किया हुआ स्वयं का 40% या उससे अधिक विकलांगता का प्रमाण-पत्र (c) RCI द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त कोर्स का प्रमाण-पत्र/अंक -पत्र / आर.सी.आई. पंजीकरण प्रमाण-पत्र के साथ उपलब्ध कराये।
नोट :-1. अर्हता दिनांक 01.07.2017 को पूर्ण होनी चाहिए एवं इस हेतु अंक पत्र/प्रमाण पत्र एवं अन्य वांछित प्रमाण पत्र निर्धारित प्रारूप पर प्रस्तुत करना होगा।
